By getting the grinder nice and cold, the trichomes will break off of the metal and gather in the kief chamber (if you have one). The longer that you leave the grinder in the freezer, the better chance you have of getting more trichomes. If the kief is still stuck in some hard to reach places, a small, brittle paintbrush will do the trick!

I have a 3- chambered herbal grinder. The top chamber is where you put the herb and, as it's ground up, it falls through holes into the middle chamber where it is removed. The bottom chamber is where small plant material collects through a screen. My issue is that the middle chamber is completely stuck shut.

Lay it on it's side and give the bottom chamber a knock with a mallet/hammer. I'm not trying to be a dick, but you really should not have let that happen. It's very easy for kief and ground buds to get stuck in the threads of grinders, and this is what happens when it is left to accumulate. Good luck on your endeavors.
yes its stuck so the hub in the grinder with the blades won't come loose from the stem in the machine. I use a pliers to pull the hub loose. I've looked closely at the stem to see if its broken or the flanges roughened, but the stem looks fine.
Mr.Stoned Pony and Fellow Enthusiasts - i believe that the preferred Space Case happens to be titanium coated steel. most grinders are aluminum tho.. good reminder about aluminum n magnets.Mr. MacGyver, of days past, could take a universal fact like that and somehow rescue an entire crop from the brink of destruction. or, at least deliver the meds to the vaporizer -without fail- just in time.
